> Spring Activities A Trip to the Amusement ParkGoing to an amusement park can be quite an adventure. Kids love it and so do the adults. It brings out the child in all of us. An amusement park is a great way to spend Spring break. With all the different size parks, from Disney World to your hometown park, it can be an experience to last a lifetime.
Sit down with your kids and see where they might like to go. The nature of a child is to instinctively want to go to Disney World. For many of us though that’s just not possible, so be sure to have a few other places in mind to help sway your children in another direction if necessary. Be sure to check that the park you have picked is open during the time you want to be there. Once you have picked a park, get your travel plans together. It might be that you will have to fly to your destination. If this is the case be sure all your children have a picture ID. Also be sure to book your flight early to save money and ensure the tickets are available. Book the hotel rooms and car reservations early also. Be sure to prepare your children. The long lines at many amusement parks can take children by surprise. Also be sure that there are rides available for smaller children if you have them. Most parks have the smaller children covered, but research and make sure there are things available for everyone's ages and abilities. Talk to your kids about all the different stores that may be located within the park and items that are available for them to purchase. Set guidelines on how much money can be spent before you ever leave home. This way there will be no stone unturned and no child upset because they can’t have everything they want. Be sure to help your children pack accordingly. Be prepared for a rainy and/or chilly day. By being prepared for any type of weather you won’t be caught by surprise or have children who are upset because the day is ruined by the weather. Going to an amusement park is like having Christmas in the Spring. There are so many things to see and so much to do that it’s impossible to cover it all in one day. No matter how long you’re there or how much you do it’s sure to be a fun time. Enjoy yourself along with the kids because there’s nothing like being a kid again, even if only for one day. |
