> Madagascar the Movie Activities A Trip to the ZooThere is nothing more exciting for kids than going to the zoo. Some zoos allow you to interact with the smaller animals and, at the same time, teach you everything there is to know about the animal. More importantly, the more kids will learn to have more respect for our wildlife.
Conservation is so important for everyone to be involved in, but most especially, our kids. They can become involved in, and contribute to, the conservation of animals in unique ways. They can build bird houses for their backyard to protect certain species of birds; they can research an endangered animal and give a report at school; they can draw pictures of their favorite animal and hang in up in their room while learning everything there is to know about the animal. Early education is the key to preserving our wildlife. Parents can have kids watch animal shows on TV that showcase different species. Kids can be educated on which animals are headed for extinction. Kids can have a fund-raising event and send the money to a chosen wildlife preservation center anywhere around the world. At home, perhaps kids can adopt a pet. This will enable them to become responsible pet owners, and pave the way for them to participate in animal conservation in their teen and adult years. Who knows... your kids may grow up to be vetinarians, or wildlife conservationists. Yes, a trip to the zoo is only the beginning. |
