Use paints, crayons, markers and/or colored paper to add features to the animal's head. Optional: Use wiggly eyes to add a little more life to your animal cut out. 4. Cut the circle into a spiral. Starting from the outer edge, cut a narrow strip about 1/2 inch wide and keep cutting in a circular direction until you reach the center of the circle. Decorate the spiral with markers, crayons, paint or glitter pens. 5. Punch a hole on the top and bottom of the animal's head, as well as on the center of the spiral. With a piece of yarn, ribbon or string, attach the spiral to the bottom of the animal's head. Cut another length of yarn, ribbon or string and tie it around the hole on top of the animal's head. Use this to hang the animal wind spinner outside or by a window. Watch it dance in the wind! OPTIONAL: Use reinforecers on the hole puch to help prevent the wind from tearing the spiral as the wind begins to blow. |
