What You’ll Need

dried leaves
clay
aluminum or plastic tray
pencil
paint

Instructions

1. Collect Autumn leaves that have fallen on the ground. Pick those with interesting shapes.

2. Soften the clay by kneading in your hands. Flatten it to about 1/2-inch thick in an aluminum or plastic tray.

3. Arrange the dried leaves over the clay. Trace around the leaves with a pencil, making sure to press the pencil down into the clay.

4. Remove the leaves and cover the clay with a thin layer of paint. Press a sheet of paper firmly on top of the paint for the imprint. Use the colors of fall or if you are planning on framing use a color that will blend well with the color scheme of the room it will be display in.

5. Remove the paper and you have a print suitable for framing.
