Back to Nature Pencil Holder

Just a short walk in the great outdoors will give you enough material to create this one of a kind pencil holder. You'll have to fight your Mom or Dad for this one though! Everyone will want it for their desk.

What You’ll Need

empty can or container suitable size and shape for a pencil
twigs
2 rubber bands
glue gun (optional)
green yarn or ribbon or twine

Instructions

1. Clean the empty can or container very well.

2. Go for a walk outside and collect some twigs. Make sure you have enough to go all around the side of your can or container.

3. Break the twigs so that they are all about as long as the can/container.

4. Attach the twigs all around the can/container by using the rubber bands. Place 2 rubber bands around the can/container first then insert the twigs one by one. Or you may choose to attach the twigs with a glue gun.

5. Hide the rubber bands by wrapping twine, yarn or ribbon around over the top of the rubber bands. Tie to secure.

6. Use this container to hold pencils, markers or even some flowers!
