Beaded Earrings

Little girls love jewelry. They not only like to wear it, but they like to make it too. If they become seasoned veterans they can make some pretty neat jewelry to give away to others too. Here’s an easy way for your little girl to make some neat earring everyone can enjoy.

What You’ll Need

* Beads in various sizes
* Head pins
* Earring hooks
* Wire cutters
* Round nosed pliers

Instructions

Begin by taking a bead, they can add more once they become able to accomplish an earring without much trouble, and place it on the head pin. Leave one inch between the bead and head pin. If the wire is too long use the wire cutters to cut it off leaving just that one inch.

Bend the wire away from you using the round nose pliers. The wire should be bent in an L shape. This will begin the process of creating the circle. Now put the pliers in the bend of the L and bring the wire around to form a circle. Don’t close the circle just yet. You will need to place the earring hook on before you can close it.

Slide the earring hook onto the bent wire. Use the pliers to close the wire and make a complete circle. This will complete the earring. Make the second earring to match and your daughter will have her first set of homemade earrings to wear and enjoy.

There are many books about making jewelry for both the beginner and the well advanced. There are also numerous online sites that can give you ideas about different types of earrings as well as other jewelry your child can make.

Jewelry making is a lot of fun for every little girl and with some experience she may find that it’s a hobby she would like to do for a long time. Who knows you may have started her out on an adventure that can last a lifetime.
