Boys and Girls Clubs of AmericaThe Boys and Girls Clubs of America are well known for their services and programs. As parents we want our children to learn and grow with the right ideas and values. By allowing your child to be a member of the Boys and Girls Club, or volunteering there, you are setting an example for them.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of America are over 100 years old. They have programs in all 50 states. This is a wonderful place for your children to go. With so little to do for children in a lot of places, sending your child to a well established place such as this is a benefit you should consider. Check online at the Boys and Girls Club website (www.bgca.org) or look in your phone book and see what they have to offer your child. They have programs that cover education, health, the environment, the arts, careers, leadership development, athletics and more. They also can use volunteers. If your child is a teenager and would like to help a worthy cause, let them volunteer at The Boys and Girls Club. Many children need a mentor closer to their own age and that’s a perfect opportunity for your older child. Your teenager can provide friendship and assistance to children and feel good they are helping a wonderful cause. Either as a member or volunteer your child will have instilled in them a sense of usefulness, belonging and influence. They will be in a safe place where they can grow while having fun. |
