Button Training Vest

Here's a clever way to teach toddlers how to button up clothes!

What You’ll Need

Baby or toddler-sized fleece jacket
Scissors
Large buttons, if the fleece jacket has small ones
Teddy bear

Tip: To keep costs down and since the jacket will be cut, purchase a second hand one from a thrift store.

Instructions

1. Cut the sleeves off the jacket.
2. If the jacket has small buttons, replace them with large ones.
3. Enlarge the existing buttonholes so that the new buttons will fit through them.
4. Put the vest on the teddy bear.
5. Have the child practice doing and undoing the buttons on teddy's jacket!
