> Christmas Activities Candy Cane BouquetsSure candy canes are great to eat, but they also help decorate the tree and give many of our Christmas stockings that perfect festive touch. How about letting your children make candy cane bouquets. With the many different colors of candy canes these days they can make a festive bouquet to give a teacher, a friend or even you in any color scheme they can think of. What You’ll Need* Candy canes in multiple colors* Twist ties * Ribbon InstructionsBe sure you have many different colors of candy canes. You can buy them at the dollar store in boxes of twelve and they are pretty inexpensive. Be sure to have a few extra in case the kids get hungry during the craft making adventure.Have the kids pick six different colored candy canes. If they decide they want to be different and just use red and white ones that’s fine too. They can be as festive as they want to be. If they want to add a little color they can do that with a bow. Now that they have their candy canes make sure they are all bundled together with the hook part of the cane sticking out. Use the twist ties to tie the candy canes together. Help them if needed to make sure the tie is tight so the candy canes don’t slip out. Use the ribbon around the twist tie to help make the bouquet more attractive. Place the candy canes in a vase and give them to that special someone. Candy canes are great to eat, but in a bouquet made out of love they are a gift that can be cherished for the entire holiday season. |
