Cardboard Bugs

It's easy to make a whole cast of bugs with this activity! From lady bugs to caterpillars and every bug in between, you'll have a blast with these cardboard buggies.

What You’ll Need

Toilet paper cardboard tubes
Scissors
Glue
Markers
Colored paper
Cardboard
Tape

Instructions

1. Cut the toilet paper tubes into three rings.
2. To make an insect, glue three rings together. Glue six rings together to make a caterpillar. For a ladybug or other small bug, use only one ring.
3. Draw on the bug's eyes and mouth with markers.
4. Add legs, antennae and other features using colored paper and/or cardboard. Attach with tape or glue.

You can also wrap the tubes with the color of your choice to match the bugs you choose to create.
