Cardboard Castle

Don't throw away those old cereal boxes, toilet paper tubes and other cardboard at home! With a little creativity, you can turn those pieces of trash into treasure!

What You’ll Need

* Empty boxes, paper towel tubes toilet paper tubes, shoeboxes and other cardboard pieces
* Illustration board or stiff cardboard at least 10" x 12" big
* Glue
* Scissors
* Poster paint
* Paintbrushes
* Markers

Instructions

1. Take your boxes and tubes and plan how you want to build your castle. Remember that you can cut them into the sizes that you need.

2. Tape the boxes and tubes together according to the design you have in mind. It's a good idea to tape the cardboard boxes shut before attaching to other pieces. Tape the pieces onto your base (illustration board or cardboard).

3. Paint your castle white and let dry. When completely dry, paint the castle with the colors you want. Let dry completely, then add details and other decorations with markers.
