Cardboard Sunglasses

Your kids are so bright...they gotta wear shades! These are one of a kind sunglasses because they will be custom made and if they break it's ok...just make another pair.

What You’ll Need

Cereal box
Pencil
Scissors
Colored plastic sheet
Markers
Stickers, rhinestones and other art supplies

Instructions

1. Draw a sunglass shape on the back of a cereal box. It is basically made up of two circles with two temples (the part that extends from the face and goes behind the ears to keep the glasses in place).

2. Draw the temples straight; you'll bend them later to wear the glasses.

3. Cut lenses out of the colored plastic sheet. Alternatively you could use one side of a sandwich baggie. Just make it darker by shading with a marker.

4. Glue the plastic sheet behind the lenses.
5. Decorate the sunglasses with stickers, rhinestones and other art supplies.

Have fun and experiment with feathers, pipe cleaners, paper flowers, etc. Or simply draw designs such as stripes, wiggly lines, and shapes using markers.
