Give your preschool child a head start for school.

Children love to talk about their experiences and show off the things that are important to them. One way for them to accomplish this is by show and tell at school. Helping your child find the appropriate items can be fun for both of you.

Maybe you went on a vacation over the summer. Let your child pick out one of the mementos from their trip to take and talk about.

Children like to collect things. Allow your child to take their collection to school. They can tell how they decided to start collecting this item and where some of the items came from.

If your child is into crafts they can take something they made to school. Telling the other children how they accomplished their craft can be both satisfying and rewarding.

If your child has a favorite pet they can take pictures of them and take the pictures to school. They will have a good time telling everyone all about their best friend.

Even if they just tell a story about something special they saw or someplace they went over the summer it can be fun. Show and tell is part of the socialization process that all children need to learn at an early age. So help your child find the right show and tell item and let them have their time to be the center of attention and shine.
