Christmas Eve Traditions

Twas the Night Before Christmas:
Every Christmas Eve we would put out cookies and milk for Santa, brush teeth and sit down in front of the fire and read "Twas the Night Before Christmas". The kids are grown and we still do this together. When my husband and I are on our own, I think we will still read it and reminisce about Christmas with our babies.

Birthday Cake for Jesus:
I would like to share a family tradition in hopes this will not only win a prize but be a blessing. Every Christmas Eve we make a birthday cake and of course we put Happy Birthday Jesus. This became a tradition every year to let my children see the true meaning of Christmas.

Christmas Eve PJs:
The biggest family tradition in which was the same when I was a little girl was that every Christmas Eve the children always got a new set of pajama's so Santa wouldn't see them in ratty garments. This tradition has been passed down now to my grandchildren and I still get my three children their's on Christmas Eve.
