Christmas Wrapper with String Prints

Make your own Christmas wrapper with one-of-a-kind string prints!

What You’ll Need

Cardboard, such as a paper plate or old cereal box
Thick string or cord
Craft paper

1. Cut the cardboard into a square or rectangle. Decide on the size you want, depending on your design.
2. Glue the string to one side of the cardboard. Form it into a design, a letter or a word. Let the glue dry completely.
3. Pour some paint into a paper plate.
4. Dip the cardboard, string side down, on the paint.
5. Press the cardboard onto the craft paper to make a print.
6. Experiment with making random prints or lining them up to make a border. Or combine several prints into a pattern.
