> Christmas Activities Cinnamon Christmas OrnamentsNot only do these ornaments look adorable, but they smell heavenly as well. What You’ll Need1 c. ground cinnamon4 tbsp. white glue 3/4 - 1 c. water String Wax Paper Toothpicks or Straws Paint (optional) Instructions1) Combine ingredients, adding enough water to make the dough as thick as cookie dough.2) Refrigerate for 2 hours. 3) Knead dough until smooth on cinnamon sprinkled work area. 4) Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick on cinnamon sprinkled work area. 5) Cut out shapes with cookie cutters. 6) Before drying, poke a hole in top of ornament with a plastic straw. 7) To dry, place on waxed paper, turning 2 times daily for 4 days or you can bake ornaments on cookie sheet in warm oven for 2 hours. 8) When your shapes are dry, you can add ribbons can be used as a hanger. Ornaments can also be used as kitchen magnets by gluing small magnets to the back. Ornaments may be left brown or painted with acrylic paint. |
