Circus Theme Party Games for Indoors

All the activity under the Big Top makes the circus a fun place to be. Try these fun games and activities that can be performed indoors!

How to Play

paper to draw a large drawing on
markers, colored pencils or crayons
push pins
pom poms
chairs
something to play music
jar
M&M candy
pencils
paper

Start with pinning the nose on the clown.

1. Draw a large picture of a clown without his nose and use push pins to attach it to the wall.

2. Give each child a pom-pom (red is typical for a clown nose, but have fun and have a variety of colors of pom poms) with double sided tape on the back.

3. Blindfold each child and turn them around three times. The child who places their pom-pom closest to the center of the face wins a prize.

I love to play musical chairs. Use a circus tune to get the ball rolling.

1. Depending on how many kids want to play, start out with an equal number of chairs.

2. Each time the music stops, remove a chair from the line. The winner is the child who gets the last chair. Play a couple of rounds if there are a lot of party guests.

3. Award a prize after each round.

Fill a large candy jar with M&M® candies. On the outside of the jar put a sign that says, “Guess the number of M&M’s®”.

1. Provide several pieces of paper and a pencil. Each child can write their name and their guess on the pieces of paper.

2. Provide a shoe box to hold all of the guesses.

3. At the end of the party, announce the name of the child who was the closest to the correct answer. His or her prize will be the jar of M&M® candy.
