Circus Theme Party Games for Outdoors

All the activity under the Big Top makes the circus a fun place. Try these fun activities that can be performed outdoors!

How to Play

empty tin cans
water guns
balloons
old door or table top
white butcher paper
small swimming pool
rubber yellow ducks
marker

Set up a shooting range. Place empty tin cans on a bench upside down.

1. Space them at least two inches apart. Give each contestant a full water gun.

2. Draw a line or use a 2 x 4 piece of board for them to stand behind.

3. The child gets one minute to knock over as many cans as they can. The child that knocks over the most cans wins a prize.

For older children, play the dart game.

1. Use an old door or table top set against a tree. Cover it with a piece of white butcher paper.

2. Blow up several balloons about half full of air and tape them to the paper.

3. Using a piece of wood to mark the starting position, give each child three darts. If they hit and bust two out of three balloons, they win a small prize. If they bust a balloon with each dart, they get a larger prize.

Purchase a small swimming pool and fill it half full of water. Let the children play the duck game.

1. Get rubber yellow ducks and put a number on the bottom of each one ranging from one to three. Put them in the water to float.

2. Once a child picks a duck, ask them what their number is on the bottom. Depending on the number, that is the number of small prizes they are allowed to choose from the prize bucket.

These are fun and easy games you can make for your circus party! Get your children involved in making the games, they will have a lot of fun!
