What You’ll Needcolored paperscissors markers or crayons a burr or velcro dot (hook part) glue Instructions1. Fold the colored paper in half. Draw a butterfly's wing then cut through both layers of paper.2. Open up the butterfly and decorate both sides with markers or crayons. Make your butterfly as colorful as you can! You can also put glitter on the butterfly to make it sparkle. 3. Cut small strips of colored paper and attach to the top part of the butterfly to make antennae. Curl the ends of the antennae under. Don’t forget to put eyes on your butterfly! 4. Glue the burr or velcro dot in the middle of the butterfly's body. Wait for the glue to dry. 5. Now place the butterfly on your shirt and see if it will cling to you! Try making butterflies and attaching them to magnets or suction cups and see where you can stick those. A butterfly magnet would look great on a fridge! Another alternative would be to cut two butterflies that are the same size out. On each of them cut out a section of the wings, but don’t cut the edges of the butterfly off. Then you can use see through paper and layer your project butterfly, paper, butterfly, gluing everything together. Once hung in your window the sun would make the butterfly wings look beautiful. |
