Give your preschool child a head start for school.

Hang a length of clothesline between 2 chairs and clip clothes pins on the line.

You’ll need pictures of clothing (clip art will do.)

Cut clothing shapes out of a variety of colors of fabric or paper.

Place the shapes in a basket.

Let your child ‘hang’ up the wash in the following manner:

1. Pattern Clothesline:
Ask your child to hang up the wash in patterns such as red-blue, red-blue; pants-shirt-sock, pants-shirt-sock; etc.

2. Clothing Clothesline:
Have your child hang up just the socks or just the shirts. Or ask them to hang the pants on one side of the line and the shirts on the other side.

3. Color Clothesline:
Let your children hang up just the green clothes or just the yellow clothes. Or hang different shapes on the line and ask your child to hang matching colored shapes next to them.
