Coffee Filter Butterfly

Can you ever have enough butterflies decorating your home? I don't think so! Help your youngster make enough of these adorable butterflies to fill your house with that touch of Spring!

What You’ll Need

Coffee filter
Markers
Paint brush
Water
Pipe Cleaner

Instructions

Lay the coffee filter onto a protected surface (on a piece of paper or tablecloth).

Encourage your child to color on the coffee filter gently with a variety of colors (using the markers).

Then, get a clean cup of water and a paint brush and have your child take water and paint on top of the markers. The colors will run together, making this beautiful pattern.

Once the coffee filter is dry, wrap the pipe cleaner around the middle and make antennae as shown above.
