A Collage of Family Photos

A great idea for celebrating Memorial Day is to make a collage of family photos. This will help your children to learn more about their own family history. Your kids will also enjoy looking at all the old pictures of their family.

What You’ll Need

* Family photos
* Poster board
* Tape or Glue Stick
* Marker

Instructions

First, you will need to gather up pictures for your children to use. With your children, go through old photo albums to find pictures of your family to use. Try to find pictures of aunts, uncles, grandparents, and even great grandparents if you have them. See if they can guess who is who in the photographs. Tell your children stories you remember about each picture you see.

Next, have them paste the pictures to a piece of poster board. Help them to write down the names of all the people in the photographs after they glue them on. Try to place them in order as they happened so your children can see how their family grew.

Your children will have fun looking at all the old pictures of you. They will also enjoy seeing the pictures of their aunts, uncles, grandparents, and great grandparents. They will learn a lot about who they are and where they came from.
