Colored Egg Easter Game

After the baskets, the candy, the gifts and even the Easter egg hunt there’s still a lot of the day left to try and occupy your children. Here’s a game that children of any age can play and have a lot fun with.

How to Play

Start by gathering all the children together outside. If the weather is bad you can play this game inside with a little caution and a lot of space.

Once you have all the children together you will need to pick one child to be a wolf and another to be the Easter Bunny to start the game out with.

Once you have those chosen then as the adult you need to whisper into each child’s ear a color. Do this with the wolf and the Easter Bunny also. Make them easy and pretty much try to stay with primary colors. This way even the smallest of child won’t forget their color. Also be sure to let the children know it’s a secret. No one else is to know their egg color.

Place the eggs (children) on one side of the yard. The wolf goes to middle and the Easter Bunny goes on the other side of the yard. When you’re ready the wolf calls out a color. Whichever egg (child) is that color they must try to get past the wolf to the Easter Bunny without the wolf tagging them. If they do accomplish this give them a small prize. Candy is a great idea for these types of prizes. They also become the new Easter Bunny for the next round.

If the wolf tags them then they become the wolf. At this point the wolf then becomes the Easter Bunny and the Easter Bunny becomes an egg. Play continues until everyone has been the wolf and the Easter Bunny. This game is not only fun but can be a way to give the children some exercise and fresh air. Have fun and Happy Easter.
