> Flowers Activities Crepe Paper FlowersEncourage your child to use their imagination to create different styles of flowers with this craft. Using wild flowers as an example, you can show your youngster how pretty a bouquet of a mix of flowers can be. Be sure to have lots of different colors of crepe paper from which to choose, including primary colors as well as pastels. What You’ll NeedCrepe paper in green and other flower colorsPipe cleaners Strong tape Glue Scissors (scalloped edge if you have them) Instructions1. With the crepe paper still folded, cut a strip about 2 inches wide.2. Cut one edge of the strip into a scallop edge. 3. Wrap the crepe paper strip around the tip of the pipe cleaner. 4. Secure with strong tape. 5. Stretch the petals widthwise gently to give them more shape. 5. If desired, wrap green crepe paper around the taped edge of the petals to cover the tape and glue into place. 6. Experiment by cutting the crepe paper strips longer or into different petal shapes, such as thin pointy shapes, etc. |
