Dinosaur Party Indoor Games and Activities

There are games that can be played inside at a dinosaur themed birthday party. Start with the indoor games and finish up outside. Once all of the games are over, you can move back inside for the food, cake, and presents.

How to Play

Double sided tape
Dinosaur drawing on butcher paper
Blindfolds
Face paint

First up, indoor games and activities!

1. All kids have to play “Pin the Tail” at least once in their birthday party career. For a dinosaur party, draw a picture of a large dinosaur, like a triceratops.

2. Do not draw the horns on your picture. Give each child a piece of white felt shaped like a horn.

3. To ensure that no one sticks themselves, place a piece of double-sided tape on the back of each horn.

4. Blindfold each child and spin them around three times. Let them see who can get the closest to the triceratops’ head.

The child who gets the closest wins a prize.

Set up a place in the kitchen for face painting.
1. Purchase non-toxic face paint from a craft store in dinosaur colors.

2. Draw the child’s favorite dinosaur on their cheek or the back of their hand. Have a mirror handy so that they can see how it looks. If they don’t like it, keep a warm moist washcloth to wipe away the paint and start over.

3. Let an older sibling or a friend take charge of the face painting so you can handle the outdoor activities.
