Dinosaur Party InvitationsYour child has decided that they want a dinosaur themed birthday party this year. Where to begin? Start with the invitations! What You’ll NeedStore bought cards ORCardstock dinosaur stickers envelopes dinosaur stamps markers InstructionsParty supply stores will carry a line of invitations with a theme. If your child likes them then you can buy enough for the number of guests your child plans to invite. Invitations are usually sold in packs of eight or ten per pack.To give your invitations a more personal touch, design your own. For this you will need cardstock paper, dinosaur stickers, envelopes, dinosaur stampers, and a nice set of fine point markers. 1. Choose a dinosaur theme from available birthday invitations in your favorite greeting card program. Insert the cardstock paper into your printer. 2. Personalize the inside of the invitation with your child’s name: “Evan’s Birthday Party!” Make sure that the inside includes lines for date, time, place, and a telephone number to R.S.V.P. 3. Once the invitations are printed, cut them out and finish decorating. Let your child decorate the inside of the invitation with a sticker or two and the outside with stamps. Use a footprint stamp to make a decorative trail leading from the front of the envelope to the back. 4.If the birthday invitations are to hand-delivered, simply write the name of the invited child on the front of the envelope. To fill out the invitations, the date, time and place for the dinosaur themed party has to be chosen. If your child’s actual birthday falls on a weekday, then the following Saturday would be an ideal time for the birthday party. Since Saturday is a busy day for family activities, plan to have the invitations delivered at least three weeks in advance of the party date. The time chosen depends on how much time you will need for planned activities. Birthday parties last between one and a half to three hours. If you plan the party between lunch and dinner, have the invitation say that the party will last from “1 p.m. to 3 p.m.” If the party is to be held at a place other than your residence, include detailed driving instructions inside the invitation. You don’t want the guests getting lost. If the directions are tricky, have everyone meet at your house and shuttle them to the party destination. All of this information needs to be placed inside the invitation for the parents to view. |
