Give your preschool child a head start for school.

Easter is perfect for this fun kids activity. Use raw eggs for older children and boiled (decorate for more fun) or plastic eggs for younger ones.

How to Play

Split the children into two groups. Have one group line up side by side at one end of the yard and the other group does the same at the opposite end of the yard.

The child directly across the yard in one group is the partner of the child in the same spot on the other end of the yard.

Start all the children on one end of the yard with a spoon and egg. Have them place their egg in their spoon and hold it with one hand. Without dropping the egg the children run across the yard with their egg and spoon to their partner across the yard.

When they reach their partner they hand off the egg and spoon and now it’s their partners turn to run to the opposite end of the yard. The first team to make it back to the starting line wins!

This is a great activity to keep the kids laughing and exercising. The can play over and over (provided they don't bust their eggs)and come up with variations of the race including a small optical course or more than one lap.
