Paper Plate Puppet Production

1. Cut one paper plate in half. Fold the other paper plate in half by folding the rounded side of it (the bottom) together.

2. Glue or staple the two halves of the paper plate to the top section of the folded paper plate. The cut halves will form a space on top and bottom of the folded paper plate for the puppeteer's fingers.

3. Decorate the paper plate according to which character you want the puppet to be. Use wiggly eyes, markers, construction paper, pipe cleaners and other decorative materials to add features and details. You could also use cut-up pieces of cloth to bring your puppet to life.

4. And the best part of all: Don't forget to make a tongue and glue it to the inside of the folded paper plate! Don't glue it all the way down so that it can be left 'hanging around' and causing lots and lots of giggles!
