How To Make Your Easy Paper Puppet

1. Take a rectangular piece of paper. Fold it vertically into 3 equal columns this way: fold the left side into the center, and then fold the right side over the center.

2. Turn the folded paper over. Fold it in half horizontally.

3. Take the bottom edge and fold it up so that the bottom edge meets the folded top edge.

4. Turn the paper over and repeat Step 3.

5. You will now have a paper that is folded accordion-style. The top opening is for your index and middle fingers. The bottom opening is for your thumb. The center fold is the puppet's mouth.

6. Add features and details using markers, colored paper, yarn and other decorative materials. Draw big eyes or glue on some googly eyes. Add a tongue and teeth as well. If you'd like, add some legs that hang down from the bottom of your puppet - you could make hime dance with his shaky, wiggly legs.

These are so easy you can make lots of them, in all sorts of different characters!
