Easy To Make CD Picture Frame

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. A picture in a homemade picture frame is priceless. This is a simple project that will lead to a beautiful ending without much hassle or money involved.

What You’ll Need

* Clear CD case
* Construction paper
* Scissors
* Glue

Instructions

The CD case needs to be clear, at least on the front, so the picture can be seen easily. If you don’t have one just lying around the house you can buy them at most department stores or office supply stores in your area.

Make sure the case is clean. Have your child wipe it down with a damp cloth and then dry it. This will ensure that there are no smears causing distortion of the picture.

The color of the construction paper should be left up to your child. They may want something bright and colorful or maybe they prefer a darker color. It will be the back ground for their picture.

When they have chosen the color of paper help them to cut out a piece that will fit snuggly into the bottom of the case. They will need to place some glue on the case and then lay the construction paper on the glue to secure it. Allow the glue to dry before adding the picture.

Place a few drops of glue on the back of the picture and attach it to the center of the construction paper. Allow that glue to dry well also. If they would like and they have room they can decorate the border around the picture. Stickers, ribbon, sequins or pictures cut out of magazines work well. Just use a little glue to hold them in place.

Now they have a great picture frame to show their picture off in. These make great gifts for Mom, Dad and Grandparents too. Give them a little and watch them make something that will bring joy and a big smile to anyone who receives such a precious gift.
