Enjoy a Camping Trip TogetherSpending some time in the outdoors can be a fun activity for everyone. Some may think that spend a couple of nights in a tent isn’t much fun but with all the extras available today it really isn’t all that much different from your own home. There are also RVs, campers and even cabins that can be rented for a camping adventure.
Try to keep the activities to the outdoors. Fishing can be a lot of fun on a camping trip. Check with the authorities to find out what age group requires fishing a license. Many states now have sites where you can apply for the license right on the Internet. They usually aren’t too expensive and can save some heartache if a game warden should come around. Hiking is another fun camping activity. Be prepared with the right types of shoes and of course that bug spray. You might also want to include some sunscreen. Even though most hiking trails are in the woods there are some areas that the sun can reach and you need to be prepared. Swimming is another great outdoor activity when camping. Granted you may find it’s still too cold in some areas but many places are warming up. There are many camp grounds that have pools but some also have lakes that you can enjoy the water in. Teach the children how to cook on a campfire. Roasting hot dogs and marshmallows is always a fun treat. Don’t forget the chocolate bars and graham crackers. Making S’mores is a must when you’re on a camping trip. Having some outdoor fun over Spring break is one way to spend quality time with your children. There are no TV’s or phones to interrupt. Spending the time together can be entertaining and educational for your children. Give camping a try. You might find that being one with nature is an experience of a lifetime. |
