Envelopes for Mom

Homemade mailing envelopes are fun and useful! Create colorful envelopes for mailing special letters to friends and family out of sturdy magazine pages or other decorative paper. Grandma would love getting a letter from her Daughter in an envelope created by her Granddaughter or Grandson!

What You’ll Need

Envelope for pattern
Marker
Glue Stick
Old Magazines or other decorative paper, sturdy enough to use for envelopes (choose pretty designs)
blank mailing labels to fit envelops
stickers

Instructions

1) Tear the envelope apart so that you can use this as your pattern.

2) Pick a page out of a magazine that you find is very colorful. Carefully tear it out.

3) Place the envelope pattern over your piece of paper and trace it out using a dark colored marker so you can see the line.

4) Fold the flaps over and glue the side flaps over to the bottom flap.

5) Press hard where you have glued so they will dry.

Buy Mom stickers so when she places her letter in her envelope that you have made she can seal it with her special stickers and with love! Be sure to include blank mailing labels for the address on the envelope.
