Felt Handprint Tradition

My grandmother started this tradition when we were small. Every Christmas before she put the tree up she would get the grandkids together.

She would take a piece of red felt and trace our hand print on them. Then she would write our names on them and our ages. We would then trace the name with glue and add glitter.

It was always something we looked forward to and it was interesting to see how big our hands grew every year.

When I had kids we started doing the same thing starting with their first christmas. Now they are teenagers and we still do it! Every year they can't wait to get out their old handprints. They can't believe how little they once were. It's really neat to hang them on the tree, and sure brings back a lot of memories!
