> 4th of July Activities Flag CakeDon't you just love celebrating with food! This simple Flag Cake is the perfect treat for 4th of July, President's Day, Flag Day, or any day you want to share a little treat with your patriotic little ones. It's a good opportunity to talk about what we love about our country and what the flag represents, as the little ones help in the creation of our "flag". What You’ll Need* 1 package white cake mix* 1 8-ounce container frozen whipped topping (thawed) * 1 pint blueberries rinsed and drained * 2 pints strawberries rinsed and sliced * optional: If blueberries and strawberries are not in season you may substitute any blue or red candies you can find. Directions1. Prepare cake according to package directions and bake in a 9x13 inch pan. Cool completely.2. Frost cake with whipped topping. Place blueberries in a square in the top left corner, and arrange sliced strawberries as stripes to make an American flag. Chill until serving. |
