What You’ll Needseveral fabric flowersscissors wodden beads markers glue ribbons or yarn Instructions1. Choose a fabric flower that will become the fairy doll's skirt. The flower should look like a billowing skirt when it is upside-down. Cut the fabric flower's stem to at least 2 inches long and remove the plastic centers.2. Pull out the plastic centers from 2 or 3 other fabric flowers. Pull the petals from each stem. 3. Turn your flower skirt upside down. Slip 3 or 4 layers of petals from Step 2 through the stem of the flower skirt. Secure them with glue and allow to dry. 4. Using markers, draw a smiling face on a wooden bead. Thread the bead through the stem of the flower skirt. Now your fairy doll has a face! Add hair by sliding a layer of small fabric petals on top of the wooden bead. 5. Give your fairy doll wings by gluing two leaves from the fabric flowers at her back. 6. Cut a ribbon or yarn about 18 inches long. Tie it on top of the fairy doll's hair. Now hang up your pretty fairy friend! This is a great craft project for a girls’ birthday party! The supply list is small and it would be easy to get everything prepared for when the project will be made. Fabric flowers come in various sizes too so it would be easy to make a bunch of fairy girls in different sizes. This would also make a good decoration to hang in a bedroom window! The attached yarn could be cut in various sizes so they are not hanging all in a straight row. |
