> Flowers Activities Flower Hand PrintsKids will have so much fun, you'll end up with an entire garden of flowers! What You’ll Needconstruction paperscissors poster paint paper plate glue optional: glitter or small beads Instructions1. Cut a circle from orange or yellow construction paper. This will be the center of the flower, so you can make this any size you want.Tip: Make several sizes so you can have a variety of flowers in the garden! 2. Pour some paint in the paper plate. Dip the child's hand in the paper plate and then make hand prints all along the edges of the circle. The hand prints will become the flower's petals. 3. Cut stems and leaves out of green construction paper, and glue to the bottom of the flower. 4. Keep going until you have a flower garden! To make smaller flowers, have your child only use their finger or thumb to make the flower petals. This is a good project to teach your child about finger prints - the garden will be full of flowers that are unique to only them since no one has finger prints that are alike! When the paint is still wet, sprinkle glitter or small seed beads into it. This flower garden can have a wide variety of looks so have fun with it! |
