Free Service Cards for Valentine's Day

Nothing says I love you more than showing your children you trust them and appreciate them. Giving them extras is how you can accomplish this without feeling like your going back on the rules of the house. Make free service cards for your children at Valentine’s Day to show them just how much you care.

Younger children can appreciate getting a card that says they can have dessert even if they don’t eat their vegetables. Maybe it’s an extra story one night at bedtime or even an unusual bedtime snack. How about letting them play that video game an extra 15 minutes or watching TV for an extra half hour on Friday or Saturday night. The ideas can be endless when it comes to younger children and free service cards.

'Tweens can be pretty easy too. Think about giving them a card that says you will be glad to do one of their specific chores for a week. Tell them they can have friends come over after school or for a sleepover. How about letting them choose the movie to watch on Friday or Saturday night. Again the list is endless when it comes to giving a tween something special in an I owe you.

Teenagers can be a little harder. They will appreciate the fact that you trust them enough to change their curfew by a half hour or let them have the car to go somewhere special on the weekend. Of course they will also be happy with help with their chores and maybe even a little longer on the telephone or computer. As long as they know you trust them and appreciate them they’ll love any idea you come up with.

Whatever you decide to do as a free service for your child, be sure you can handle it too. Sometimes giving a child the right to the car for a whole night can be more stress than it’s worth when there are probably other things you can do that won’t leave you worrying yourself to death. Also remember you are trying to instill your trust of them and want them to know you love and appreciate them for who they are.
