Girls Slumber Party Games and ActivitiesSlumber parties are always fun as a young girl. With no boys around you can giggle, act crazy, and talk about the crushes of your life away from prying eyes. You can keep the girls busy with games that appeal to them. What You’ll NeedExtra necklacesKaraoke machine Nail polish and accessories Notepads and pencils Tiara (for a prize) 1. Make sure the girls brought the necklaces they were sent with their invitation to the party. Have a few one hand in case they are forgotten. The necklaces will be used in the "forbidden word" game. Once everyone has arrived, let them know there is one word they cannot say for the entire time of the game portion of the night.
2. The forbidden word game is played like this. Pick one word that goes with the theme of the evening - "slumber" or "boys" for example. Those words will be hard to not say during the party! If a girl hears another using the word, they have to give up their necklace. The girl with the most necklaces at the end of the evening wins a prize! 3. If the girls like to dance and sing you can rent a karaoke machine. Play "Slumber Party Idol" and give each girl a chance to try out. Pick two of the girls who don't want to sing or dance to be the judges. Since the girls will be competing against each other, pick the songs by having each girl write the name of a song on a piece of paper. Have the contestants pull a song name out of the hat - this will make the game interesting since each girl isn't able to sing only what she picked. 4. The girls are able to also tell scary stories using the flashlights left out on the blanket. Once it is dark enough, turn the lights off except for the flashlights. After each girl tells a story, their light is then turned out. After all the girls have told stories, all the lights will be out. If one or two girls put on scary masks in the darkness and then illuminated their faces, everyone will get a heart-pounding scare. 5. Once the party is moved into your daughter's bedroom, they can relax and play with the nail polish and accessories set up for the manicures and pedicures. Don't forget a fingernail file for them to use. Let the girls pick a manicure or pedicure and they can visit while painting nails. 6. Remember the cards each girl was to fill out before the party begin? Have them put their names on the bottom corner of their card so you know who they are. After each girl has a notepad and pencil, play the "how well do you know your friends?" game. Each girl guesses who they think the answers are about, the one with the most correct answers wins the tiara as their prize. 7. Girls can have a lot of questions about themselves and about falling in love. This is the time for the "Ask Dr. Mom" game. If any of the girls have a question they would like to ask, she can write it on a piece of paper and put it into a hat. Mom will pick one question at a time and read and answer it as best as she can. This gives the girls a non-threatening atmosphere in which they can get good advice. |
