Girls Slumber Party Invitations

Slumber parties are lots of fun and a slumber birthday party is even better.

What You’ll Need

Store bought invitations
OR
Little girls' purses
Plastic beaded necklaces
Cardstock paper
Pens

If you are buying your invitations, the invites will typically be pink or white. Since you are sending invitations for a slumber birthday party, the number of girls invited will depend on the size of your daughters room, but will probably be ten or less. Be sure to pick invitations that are blank inside so you will be able to add extra information.

Along with date, time, and place of the party include a miniature list that outlines what each girl needs to bring. Since some girls may never have been to a sleepover before a list tells them exactly what they will need. No matter when your child’s birth date is, a slumber birthday party should be held on a Friday or Saturday night so as not to interfere with school or the parent’s work schedules if it is in the summer.

If you would like a different invitation then store bought, go to the dollar store and purchase several little girls' purses in various colors. Inside each purse place a plastic beaded necklace, the invitation, a postcard size piece of cardstock paper, and a decorative pen.

The invitation will say the same thing as the store bought one, but will have no picture on front, just the information needed for the guest written in creative script. The necklace is for the girl to wear that night for a game. The pen and extra paper are for her to write something about herself that no one knows, this is for a guessing game. State these instructions in the invitation.

Since this is a sleepover, let parents know when they call to R.S.V.P. when they have to pick up their daughter. If you are willing, you can also shuttle all of the girls to their homes. If they live in the neighborhood or close by, this may be the best option. Let parents know what time you will be bringing them home so someone can be there to meet them. More than likely you will have to plan a breakfast for the guests.
