Glittery Dragonfly

Use objects around the house to make a dragonfly!

What You’ll Need

old cereal box
scissors
wax paper
glitter glue
white glue
wiggly eyes
markers

Instructions

1. From an empty cereal box, cut out a shape that resembles the head and body of a dragonfly. A cereal box can yield several dragonflies – cut enough out to make one for each child or a family of dragonflies. Cut several sizes so you will have a variety when you are finished.

2. Cut out wings from the wax paper. Decorate with glitter glue and wait until they are dry. You could also add beads to the wings, either in the glitter glue or separately. After the wings are dry, attach them to the dragonfly's body.

3. Attach the wiggly eyes, or draw eyes with markers. Add other features using the markers. Don’t forget to decorate the dragonfly’s body as well.

You can attach a magnet to the back of the body for a quick fridge magnet, or a suction cup so it can be stuck to a window.
