Go to a Major Sporting Event

Chances are you have children who are into sports of some kind or another. It might be there greatest dream can be achieved by taking them to see a major sporting event. With so many different sports and so many teams in each sport there’s a pretty good chance you can find a game near you to go and see.

Whether it’s baseball, football, tennis, hockey or soccer to name a few it seems as if anywhere you go there’s a game. If your children are into sports this might be the one thing that will set off their Spring break above and beyond their wildest dreams.

Check the local paper in the sports section to find a game close by. You can even go online and find schedules and tickets to these types of games. Be sure to start your plans early so you can get the tickets to the game you really want to see. You might want to have a second choice just in case.

Find out ahead of time what the rules of the stadium are. Some places allow you to take your own food and drinks. Others want you to purchase items such as these at the stadium. If at all possible try to find a game where you can take your own. It’s much cheaper and more convenient. Then again you might want to buy that all American hot dog at the baseball game. Peanuts and Cracker Jack are all time favorites too.

Be informed about the players and the games. Many times children get into a sport that the parents aren’t all that well versed on. Do your research so that you can interact with your child while at the game. There’s sure to be questions by the younger ones and details laid out by the older ones. Prepare yourself for any and all so you won’t be left out during that seventh inning stretch.

Going to a major sporting event is exciting, fun and in some cases educational. Children love to watch their hero’s and want you to be a part of that. You can be their number one hero by taking the time and giving them a day to remember always.
