Guess How Many

There is always an old standby game that you can do at your child’s Halloween party. Of course it’s the guessing game. Kids like to play this game and it’s very simple to do. You can even make it a little more interesting for them also. Here’s how.

How to Play

You will need a clear container with a lid and a bag of candy corn. Unfortunately the hard part for you is counting the pieces of candy corn. You have to know exactly how many pieces there are. It is best to count the corn before the game begins. Be safe and write the number on a piece of paper and place the paper where no one else will find it. This way you won’t have to try and remember in all the excitement.

Place the candy corn in the container. Make sure the container is clear. Now here is the interesting part. Place some different types of items in the container with corn. You can put coins, buttons, regular corn pieces or anything that can be hidden among the candy corn. Place the lid on the container.

Now it’s time for the kids to play. First let them take a guess on how many pieces of candy corn are in the container. Give them a piece of paper and a pencil and have them put the number and their name on the paper. Next let them try to figure out what the hidden objects are. Tell them they can turn the container even pick it up but they can’t shake it or remove the lid. They will also write this on their paper. Whoever comes the closest to the number of pieces of corn wins. Also whoever figures out the hidden treasurer wins. It’s up to you to decide what their prizes will be just remember there could be multiple winners.
