All children love Halloween. The dressing up, trick or treating, haunted houses, spooks, goblins and most of all the candy. The best part of Halloween is the party. There are lots of ways to make a Halloween party for your child fun and memorable.

Theme parties are always fun. You can make a contest out of it. Let the children vote on the scariest, best idea, funniest and so on. The kids will have a blast checking out all those costumes. You can even give a prize to the child who figures out the most people under those costumes.

Invitations and decorations are the center to the party. Be sure your invitations have all the correct information on them. They should be Halloween type invitations but if you are having a theme party be sure to include that in your information. Your decorations should also be geared toward your theme but with Halloween ideas included also.

Be sure to have games and prizes for your child’s party. Some games to think about are pin the face on the pumpkin or bobbing for apples. You can also have a scavenger hunt for older children or a treasurer hunt for smaller children. The prizes don’t have to be lavish. Gear them towards Halloween and your theme also.

Be sure to have plenty of snacks. There are many types of Halloween foods you can make including cookies, snack mix, sandwiches and drinks. The sky is the limit in food ideas. If your children will be trick or treating try to stay away from more candy. Edible Eyeballs, Bat Wings, Tombstone cake and Creepy Crawly Punch will be a hit with your children and their parents.
