Handprint Dinosaur

Even pre-schoolers love dinosaurs. With their little hands, and your help, you can create a dinosaur that's just their size!

What You’ll Need

poster paint
paper plate
plain paper, white or colored
markers
construction paper
wiggly eyes (optional)

Instructions

1. Pour some paint on a paper plate, any color you want the dinosaur to be. Making sure the child's fingers are spread apart, dip the child's hand into the paint, and make a handprint on plain paper.

2. Turn the paper upside down so that the fingers are pointing down. The thumb is the dinosaur's head, while the rest of the fingers are the dinosaur's legs and the palm is the body. Use markers or construction paper to add features like claws, spines, teeth, eyes or whatever you want.

3. Draw or glue other elements to complete the scene, such as trees, plants, and rocks.

4. You may want to do this several times to create different dinosaurs.
