> Flowers Activities Handprints FlowerOne mom told me the other day that, even though you can’t save ALL of their art, she always saved the things that had handprints, footprints or even fingerprints. I thought about that and had to agree. I don’t think I’ve ever thrown away anything like that either. So here’s yet another idea for using those precious little hands for something other than making a mess! What You’ll NeedA paper plate (even the cheap kind works fine)Different colored construction paper Glue, glue stick or stapler Pencil Scissors InstructionsStep 1. Trace around the outline of your child’s hands at least 10 times on various colored construction paper.Step 2. Staple or glue the outlines (finger point OUT) around the edges of the paper plate. Step 3. Staple or glue the next set of hand outlines (again, fingers pointed OUT) a couple of inches inside the first circle of hands. Step 4. Staple or glue the final set of hands inside the second ring of hands. Step 5. Place a circle of a solid color construction paper in the middle of your “flower” and fluff your petals. Cute craft, not too messy. Smaller kids will need help tracing and cutting, but they’ll be so proud to give mommy their flower! If you’re really desperate, have them make an entire bouquet! |
