Hang a Birdfeeder

This is so simple and if done with the kids in mind will provide great enjoyment. I got the idea when we were visiting some friends and my girls were glued to the window watching the birds. I had bird feeders in our yard as well, but they were not placed for the kids' easy viewing.

What You’ll Need

* Bird Feeder

* Bird Seed

* Frequently Used Window

Directions

We placed our Bird Feeder right outside of our kitchen window. This happens to be the window that our kitchen table sits right next to. If you don't have a good place to put a feeder right outside of a frequently used window, consider getting a feeder that attaches directly to the window. When we are eating breakfast, we love to watch the birds that come for their morning treats, and we have several regulars. Our favorite last summer was "Ralphie" the Red Winged Blackbird who really ruled the roost at our feeder. The little house finches flew right off when Ralphie came. Ralphie has been gone all winter, but my girls still ask about him, and we wonder if we will see him again next summer!
