Heart Necklaces

There is nothing sweeter than a little one surrounded by colorful hearts. You can create these pretty necklaces easily and quickly with just a couple craft items. Cut the hearts out in different sizes to really customize your necklace, and add some glitter and sparkle for a very special touch. You'll soon find yourself surrounded by valuable "jewels" that everyone will want to wear!

What You’ll Need

You’ll need: construction paper, scissors, hole punch, yarn, tape. Optional: glitter, sequins, and glue, or any other embellishments.

Instructions

Cut small hearts (do several sizes if you wish) out of red and/or pink construction paper. You may want to sprinkle some glitter over these hearts to make them appear more "jewel" like, or even glue on some sequins. Use your imagination.

Punch two holes close to each other near the top of each heart shape.

Cut yarn into 24 inch lengths.

Put small piece of tape around each end of each piece of yarn to make it easier to thread through holes.

Thread the yard through the holes in the hearts. Depending on the size of the hearts, you may want one, two, or three hearts on each string.

Tie the ends together, making sure it will slip over your child's head.
