Homemade Christmas Candles

Here is an activity that is a little different. It is so easy to do, and lots of fun.

What You’ll Need

* Assorted color construction paper
* Glue
* Scissors
* Paper Plate

Instructions

Take any color construction paper and cut it in half. Next fold the paper into the shape of a candle. Glue the ends of the paper together. At the bottom, cut two or three slits about an inch up the paper and fold the slits upward. These slits will be the base of the candle.

Take a water glass and trace the glass into the middle of a paper plate. Cut out the circle. Using glue, paste the bottom slits of the candle onto the paper plate.

Next, cut out the shape of a flame using yellow construction paper. Put a dab of glue on the inside top of the candle. Holding the piece of flame you just cut out, pinch the top of the candle to the flame and glue together.

You can make candles of different sizes and colors and display them on your table or anywhere else in your home.
