Homemade Cranberry Sauce for Thanksgiving

You can't have a Turkey without cranberry sauce.

While most supermarkets carry cranberry sauce in a can, there is nothing compared to homemade cranberry sauce. This is an easy recipe, and one you will be delighted to add to your Thanksgiving feast.

What You’ll Need

* One Bag Cranberries
* Suger
* Small saucepan
* Water

Directions

You can purchase a bag of cranberries in your local supermaket. Once you open the package, put them in a bowl and gently rinse.

Place the cranberries in a small saucepan, add a cup of water, and a tablespoon of sugar. (You may wish to add more sugar as the cranberries tend to be a bit bitter).

Cook to a boil while stirring occasionally. Once the cranberries have all have taken on a mashed consistency, they are done. Place the cooked cranberries into a small bowl; cover with saran wrap, and put them in the refrigerator.

When you are ready to serve the turkey, you can remove the cranberries from the refrigerator, give them a stir and place them on the table.

Here is another great leftover tip: If you have any leftover turkey, you can make turkey and cranberry sandwiches. Hmmmm....Scrumptious.
