Homemade Nature Placemats

What You’ll Need

Flowers or leaves
Book to press the flowers and leaves
Clear contact paper
Construction paper
Glue
Tissue Paper
Scissors
Markers, Crayons, Paint, Stickers, Ribbon to decorate with.

Time to make your nature placemat

1) Place the flowers and leaves between two pieces of tissue paper

2) Place the flowers and leaves in the tissue paper in between the books.

3) Leave them to dry and flatten out in the books for 2 weeks.

4) Cut the poster board to place mat size.

( You will want this approximately 16x12")

5) Color and use your stickers to decorate the poster board.

6) Get the Pressed flowers and leaves.

7) You need to cut a piece of contact paper slightly larger than the poster board, Peel off the backing and place the poster board on top of the contact paper.

8) Arrange the pressed flowers and leaves on top of the poster board.

9) Roll the contact paper over the poster board that you have designed.

10) Trim the edges of the contact paper leaving a little to create a seal for your placemat.

Enjoy eating every night by using the placemats on the table that you have made!
